Food: The sushi here is so good. It's some of the best I've had since moving to Baltimore. My favorite (so far) is the R (Roll) Lewis. The unagi and soft shell crab are also wonderful. Service: The server was attentive, never letting our water run out. Our food came out quickly, and the extra roll we ordered before we left arrived fast and packaged well. Atmosphere: We didn't get to see the whole restaurant, as we sat near the entrance. The chair felt a bit uncomfortable. But other than that, the atmosphere was pleasant and inviting.

Shoyou Sushi is an outstanding restaurant that never disappoints! Every time we go there, we have an incredible dining experience. The sushi is top-notch, always fresh, and beautifully presented. The variety on the menu is impressive, catering to all tastes and preferences. The staff is attentive, friendly, and provides excellent service throughout the meal. The ambiance is inviting and relaxed, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a delightful meal with friends or family. Shoyou Sushi is the best in South Baltimore for fresh sushi. They do not take reservations but definitely get on the wait list and hang around, it's worth the wait. Service is fast knowable on the menu including Sake. I recommend starting with the calamari and edamame. For the rolls classic Spicy Tuna always hits the spot. Go for the Big Boss roll!

Super disappointed. We always get their sushi burritos to go whenever we pass by Baltimore, but this last time around they significantly made the proportions smaller and changed the take out box to a smaller one. Their burrito didn’t even have tempura inside since they were being stingy. We’re paying 15$ for each burrito and always order 3-4 so you’re looking at a 60$ meal. Photos included .

We were just passing through Baltimore and decided to stop for dinner here since it was not far from the highway we were on. The atmosphere was casual but classy and comfortable. The wait staff was great too. They were friendly and helpful, without being overbearing. The food was delicious and was pleasantly more generous portions wise than were were expecting for a sushi restaurant. They had some very unique specialty rolls that we have never seen before, along with the typical and basic sushi roll options. Overall it was a lovely meal and experience. Highly recommend!

Shoyou is a very solid sushi restaurant for South Baltimore. It has more interior appeal compared to Kiku's (my personal go-to) and is more spacious than Matsuri's (also solid). Serving size on the rolls wasn't mind-blowing + the uramaki was a bit messy presentation-wise, but the taste of everything was solid. I was especially pleased with the quality and texture of the fish. This is a great spot for your restaurant rotation or to bring friends/family. Not the cheapest, but you'll enjoy your meal. 👍

We heard about this place from 2 different people. The sushi is very delicious one of the best ever. Adnan was our server, he’s very nice, patient and friendly. He gave us some suggestions and all were very good. The place is very clean and bathrooms are very clean. We loved it and definitely will go back later again!
